I
am not actually a big football fan, soccer here in the land of the reserve
currency. Starting off I wanted another simulation game. The requirements were
that it be something that didn't require me actually interact with the game for
long periods of time so i could work on other things while it continued to
play, also rpg style statistics and little people to order around were seen as
a big plus. Being that all the castle simulation games have poor realism or
fail to be long winded I ended up in sports. Went through all the sports and
all the simulators. This one seemed to have the most people addicted to it. Fooball Manager 2012 was seen as an inferior simulator by many, and I didn't mind the loss
of graphics quality, actually i rather enjoy the little people in FM, I can see
what's happening clearly, the matches entertain, and it all seems reasonably
realistic. Many other sports have reasonably good simulators but i believe this
may be the best one if you don't care what sport it is, or like soccer more
than the others. The two 45 minute halves with few adjustments required fits my
attention level requirement well as well. I would highly recommend this game,
except it may eat the rest of your life if you let it.
Ever
wondered if you could be the next Pep Guardiola and take a team from the
English 5th division and turn them into the next Barca? Well with the right
coaches, training, and a bit of transfer wizardry, this game allows you to
attempt just that!
Basic
navigation and game play is pretty straight forward but after playing the game
now for a couple of months I'm still learning new tips and tricks that continue
to make my managerial experience exciting!
