VMware
Fusion 5 is an impressive windows emulator for Mac with fantastic emulation and
operating system compatibility. While they lag just slightly behind the top
performers in the industry, VMware Fusion is still powerful Windows emulator
software, with a full array of critical features that will fill all of your
emulation needs.
VMware
Fusion 5 brings a swath of impressive features over the last version, including
compatibility with Mac OSX Mountain Lion and Windows 8. They’ve adapted quickly
to the latest generation of Macintosh computers, incorporating gesture
navigation and Retina-display pixel density. They’ve even eliminated
unnecessary interface elements to help you focus and get things done.
VMware
began as a small computer company in Palo Alto, California, in 1998, and
they’ve since grown to serve over 350,000 individuals and organizations,
becoming a leader in virtualization and emulation software. Today, their
well-documented and highly compatible software is present in almost all of the
world’s Fortune 1000 companies.
Features
& Emulation:
VMware

as a convenient virtual machine library that lets you select your desired
operating system or virtual machine from a list of your installed operating
systems. With VMware Fusion 5, they’ve also embedded a vast array of tutorials
and FAQs into the application, allowing you to view video tutorials and look up

Performance:
VMware
Fusion performed very well in our tests, keeping the toll on our processor
manageable and reserving only the bare minimum for each virtual machine we
installed. VMware requires only a third of the space that Parallels does, while
their main application takes up almost 50 percent more space on your hard
drive. Fortunately, both applications make it easy on your system and we didn’t
notice any major snags in our performance tests.
Ease
of Use:
VMware
Fusion has put a heavy emphasis on ease of use with the latest release of their
emulator software, including many standard features like integrated views,
windowed mode and the lack of a reboot requirement. They’ve also baked a few
new features into the emulation dish, including a native learning center and
several speed enhancements.
